We go to the village of Tejera to the east of Hermisende, we begin the tour in the Plaza del Pilar where we find the Health centre, a fountain and ample parking. We start the route in an easterly direction, leaving the Health center behind us and on the right side, immediately at the first crossroads we turn to the right a little lower and behind a cancilla they have for the cattle we will begin to enter the traditional way proper saying.Approximately 1.6 km from the village and on the right bank of the river Gamoneda we have four mills (Muiño de Srabella, de la Chemena, Novo and Ponte Nova), to see them we have to turn off the path on our right and go down a More extreme and dangerous way, said mills are currently in ruins although it is recommended their visit and respect. We return to the traditional road where the same site.A little further on we will cross the river Gamoneda through the Ponte da Sarabella, we will have to cross another stream that usually drops with water most of the time, in order to cross a footbridge is the area of the Pala that is just before that stream .From here in a less than 1 km, the road becomes more difficult as many socabones as well as loose and uncompressed stones appear on this path. Our next objective is the stream that limits Spain with Portugal so we must always keep straight, we are getting closer. We return by where we came and now at the first intersection we go to the left side a little further on we come to a junction that tells us that to visit the Alto Longres we must take the path from the left up and for Castelo dos Moros path on the right going down. The Alto de Longres has a spectacular viewpoint and in this high is also a cabin of the carabineros now abandoned. From the Alto de Longres viewpoint we can see Tejera, Fillobal, As Louxeiras, Las Loseras, Portela.
Traditional way of the Tejera in the Town council of Hermisende, can be done in any time of the year looking for the charm of each station, it is a way of access to farms, chestnut trees, mount low and land tracks of recent construction. It can be done on foot, by bicycle, horse and all terrain (for motor vehicles consult the environmental regulations of the area). In this habitat we will be able to see animals like the roe deer, wild boar and eagles among others, in summer it is a fresh route most of the time, although we have a hotter zone since it runs through an open area of mount low and fireplaces without hardly trees is the Zone that takes us to Alto de Longres and Castelo dos Moros. This valley is dedicated mainly to the cattle ranch and agriculture reason why the landscape in some zone is of low vegetation with little grove. It is aimed at the whole world, although we physically have to be well for the amount of kilometers that the route has. The route is simple but long, suitable for children taking precautions somewhere.
